November 22 1963

Friday,November 22,1963,Dallas,Texas.

East Newnan Elementary,Newnan,Georgia,me,11 years old,6th grade,Ms Hatchet's class,2 pm.

Principal Hemphill came over the loud speaker telling us that President John Kennedy had been shot and was dead.

It turned off cold and rainy that day.

Watching the black and white TV as Air Force 1 brought the body of the President back to Washington,D.C.

Mrs Kennedy wearing that same blood splattered dress of earlier in the day.

An ambulance backed up to Air Force 1 and the casket was lowered and loaded.

Still vivid in my memory just like it was happening again.

Some days are burnt into your memory forever.

This was one of them.
